The editorial process of Zabags International Journal of Education (ZIJEd) is designed to ensure that all submitted manuscripts meet international academic standards and are processed systematically and fairly. Submissions are made through Open Journal Systems and undergo an initial administrative screening by the Managing Editor, which includes checking scope alignment, formatting compliance, language quality, completeness of metadata, and a similarity index below 15%. Manuscripts that pass this stage proceed to a desk review by the Handling Editor, where they are evaluated based on novelty, methodological rigor, international relevance, theoretical contribution, and clarity of writing. Manuscripts that fail to demonstrate sufficient academic value are rejected at this stage, while those with potential may be revised before being sent for peer review.

Manuscripts that pass desk review enter a double-blind peer review process involving at least two reviewers, typically completed within 2–4 weeks. Reviewers assess originality, methodology, analysis, contribution, and global relevance, and provide recommendations such as accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Editorial decisions are made based on these evaluations, with the Editor-in-Chief holding final authority. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts accordingly within specified timelines, and accepted papers proceed to copyediting, formatting, DOI assignment, and final publication in the journal system. Throughout the process, ZIJEd adheres to publication ethics standards established by Committee on Publication Ethics, ensuring integrity, transparency, and quality in scholarly publishing.
