Focus and Scope



Zabags International Journal of Engagement (ZIJEn) is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing theoretical knowledge and practical applications of engagement, community participation, and service-based research. The journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community stakeholders to disseminate high-quality original research, empirical studies, conceptual analyses, case reports, and comprehensive reviews that contribute to the understanding and development of engagement, community service, and participatory research across disciplines.


Focus/Aims

ZIJEn focused/ aims to:

  1. Promote rigorous scholarship on community engagement, service learning, participatory action research, and social impact studies.

  2. Encourage interdisciplinary dialogue between theory and practice across fields such as social sciences, education, religion, humanities, public policy, and community development.

  3. Support global and local perspectives on engagement strategies, community empowerment, and inclusive research that inform both academic and practical initiatives.
