In the context of personal relationships, engagement typically refers to the emotional and cognitive investment individuals have in their interactions with one another. It involves active listening, empathy, and a genuine interest in understanding and connecting with the other person. In the workplace, engagement refers to the level of commitment and enthusiasm employees have toward their work and the organization. Engaged employees are generally more motivated, productive, and willing to go the extra mile to contribute to the success of their team and the company. Factors that influence employee engagement include job satisfaction, a positive work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and effective communication. Customer engagement pertains to the interactions and experiences that customers have with a company or brand. Engaged customers are actively involved and interested in the products or services offered, and they may participate in activities such as providing feedback, making repeat purchases, and advocating for the brand. Building strong customer engagement often involves fostering positive customer experiences, delivering personalized interactions, and creating a sense of community around the brand. In the realm of online platforms and social media, engagement measures the level of interaction and involvement of users with digital content. It encompasses actions such as likes, comments, shares, and follows. High engagement indicates that users find the content compelling and are actively engaging with it, which can contribute to increased visibility, reach, and influence.     Practical experience is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their competence in society or in community organizations. Students will demonstrate their competency achievement using a portfolio approach, in which they practice (working with community organizations) to develop a product that will be mutually beneficial for students and community organizations. Examples of products include written assignments, projects, videos, multi-media presentations, spreadsheets, websites, posters, photos or other digital learning artifacts.
