Screening For Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to ZIJIS: Zabags International Journal of Islamic Studies undergo a rigorous similarity screening process before entering peer review. The journal utilizes reputable plagiarism-detection tools, including Plagiarism Checker X, Turnitin, and Grammarly, to ensure the originality and integrity of all submitted works.

Manuscripts that exhibit a similarity index greater than 20%—including cases of self-plagiarism—will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the severity and nature of the overlap. Textual matches in the abstract, introduction, methods, or discussion that suggest duplication without proper citation may result in immediate rejection.

ZIJIS adopts a strict zero-tolerance stance toward:

- Unattributed copying or paraphrasing
- Redundant or duplicate publication
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Manipulation of text to bypass similarity detection

Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure originality, provide accurate citations, and maintain ethical writing practices before submission. Failure to adhere to these standards may result in rejection without review.
