Author Guidelines
ZIJEc is a proper channel for the publication of papers in Economics. Manuscripts reporting experimentation or research in field crops will be accepted for review as papers. Authors are advised to follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth submission and review process.
Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant Zabags International Journal of Economy the right of first publication.
The published work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.
- Submissions must align with the journal’s Focus and Scope.
- Manuscripts must be written in English, using clear academic language.
- All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using similarity-detection tools. ZIJEc permits a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data, references, and ethical considerations related to the manuscript.
2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1 ZIJEc accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles (6,000–8,000 words)
- Conceptual or Theoretical Papers (5,000–8,000 words)
- Critical Literature Reviews (6,000–8,000 words)
- Methodological or Analytical Studies (5,000–8,000 words)
Word count includes references, tables, and appendices.
2.2 Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts must follow this structure:
a. Title Page
- Article title (concise, descriptive, maximum 15 words)
- Full names of authors
- Affiliations (institution, city, country)
- Corresponding author email
- ORCID iD (strongly recommended)
b. Abstract (150–200 words)
The abstract must include:
- Background or research objective
- Methods
- Key findings
- Conclusion and significance
Include 3–5 keywords.
c. Main Text
The body of the manuscript should be structured as follows:
1. Introduction
- Background and problem context
- Research gap and rationale
- Objectives and significance
2. Methods
- Research design
- Participants / subjects
- Data collection procedures
- Instruments
- Data analysis techniques
3. Results / Findings
- Present findings clearly using tables/figures as needed
4. Discussion
- Interpret findings
- Compare with existing studies
- Implications
5. Conclusion
- Summary of findings
- Contributions to theory and practice
- Recommendations for future research
6. References
List all sources cited in your paper, formatted according to ZIJEc’s guidelines.
2.3 Formatting and Style
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Page size: A4, margins 2.5 cm
- Use APA 7th Edition for in-text citations and references.
- Tables and figures:
- Number sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.)
- Provide clear titles and sources (if adapted)
- Insert in relevant sections, not at the end
3. Ethical Standards
ZIJEc follows international ethical guidelines.
3.1 Research Ethics
- For studies involving human participants, authors must confirm that ethical approval was obtained and informed consent was secured.
3.2 Publication Ethics
- ZIJEc adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles.
- Misconduct such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication will result in rejection.
3.3 Authorship
- All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to:
conceptualization, methodology, data analysis, writing, or revision. - Ghost authorship or honorary authorship is strictly prohibited.
4. Submission Process
- All submissions must be made online through the ZIJEc OJS system.
- Register – Create an author account on the journal website and complete the required profile information.
- Log In – Access the system using your registered username and password.
- New Submission – Click “New Submission” from the author dashboard.
- Submission Checklist – Confirm originality, ethical compliance, and agreement with journal policies.
- Upload Manuscript – Upload the main manuscript and any supplementary files.
- Enter Metadata – Provide the title, abstract, keywords, and author information.
- Confirm Submission – Review all information and finalize the submission.
- Track Progress – Monitor the submission status through the OJS dashboard.
5. Peer Review Process
- ZIJEc uses a double-blind peer review model.
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
- The review timeline typically ranges from 4–8 weeks.
